Comprehensive Network
With a strong and robust Global Education Network, CEA Global Education is uniquely positioned to help schools advance their internationalization efforts. We invite our Academic Affiliate institutions to see for themselves the quality of academic and immersion opportunities available through our network. CEA schedules two Familiarization Trips each academic year, and preference is given to Academic Affiliates in the nomination process.
Professional Development
In an effort to promote valuable collaboration between home and international faculty, we offer Global Issues Seminars, webinar-based professional development, visiting professorships and a Faculty-in-Residence program.
Global Issues Seminars take place at our Global Campuses and reflect the disciplinary focus to that particular campus, i.e., human rights in Paris, France; interfaith dialogue in Rome, Italy; sustainable development in Madrid, Spain; and, intercultural business communication in Shanghai, China. Seminars are limited in size with preference given to faculty and staff of Academic Affiliate schools.
Global Competence Development for Faculty and Staff
The Faculty and Staff Tuition Grant program, an innovative professional development opportunity, awards one grant each year to each Academic Affiliate to allow a member of the university’s faculty or professional staff to attend a two- or four-week program at one of the CEA Global Campus sites. This opportunity is intended to support the university representative in developing global expertise, as well as familiarity with CEA staff, facilities, and practices. Academic Affiliate Universities are encouraged to nominate participants from all corners of the campus, including student affairs, financial aid, and the office of the registrar/bursar, as well as academic units. The Tuition Grant program is especially suited to faculty and staff with limited prior international experience. We ask the Affiliate institution to cover the cost of airfare, hotel accommodation and incidentals.
Collaborative Programming
In order to support the international initiatives of our Academic Affiliates, CEA offers up to $1,500 for one coach airline ticket for the first Custom Program developed jointly with CEA.
Marketing Assistance
To help promote study abroad on your campus, CEA Global Education also offers up to $500 annually in marketing materials to be jointly developed by the Affiliate’s study abroad office and CEA and bear the CEA logo. We offer marketing consultation and help identifying opportunities to increase awareness on campus of the value of global education. We are available to collaborate on a customized annual marketing program, which may include broadcast and print advertising, e-marketing, print collateral, promotions, events and customized websites.
